Dr. Robert Novak

Dr. Bob Novak has professional interest in medical entomology, mosquito biology and control, integrated pest and disease management and vector ecology. He combines high level scientific credentials with a lot of practical field experience in Africa and elsewhere. Professor and research scientist at the University of Illinois and recently moved to the University of Alabama. Long time association and past president of the American Mosquito Control Association.

Peter Burgess

Peter Burgess is trained as an engineer and economist at Cambridge University and as an accountant with Coopers and Lybrand in London. He has almost twenty years of US based corporate management experience and more than twenty years of relief and development consultancy experience with the Woerld Bank, UN and others. He is the founder and CEO of the Transparency and Accountability Network (Tr-Ac-Net Inc.) working on issues of development cost effectiveness, public accounting and transparency.

He is an expert on entomoplogy and the impact of insecticides on pests and on the environment. He is an advisor to vector control organizations throughout the United States and some overseas locations.

Bill Nesler has practical experience in pesticide operations throughout the USA for over thirty years, and many years of experience operating in Africa. He is qualified to supervise and train staff in the safe handling of pesticides and the efficient operation of aircraft and ULV equipment.

Hans Herren has academic credentials in the field of entomology, and paractical international experience. He was the head of ICIPE in Kenya, and before that a scientific institute in Benin, before taking on the challenge of being President of the Millennium Institute.

Paul Driessen

Paul Driessen (on the left, with some African visitors) was a prime mover of Kill Malarial Mosquitoes NOW (KMMN) campaign to make DDT an allowable intervention in the battle against malaria. He helped obtain more than 4,000 signatures, including 3 Nobel Lauriates in support of use of DDT as part of malaria control programs.
